Concert Band Ensembles
-
All band students are required to participate in two smaller
performing ensembles. The ensembles are divided into two groups:
"A" ensembles and "B" ensembles. Each student
chooses an "A" and a "B" ensemble.
-
There is no guarantee that students will be the ensemble of their
choice. Instrumentation, playing ability, and optimal ensemble size
also determine ensemble assignments.
-
Some ensembles are by audition and/or invitation.
-
The year is divided into five zones. A new zone begins after
major performances. Some ensemble choices change while others
continue.
