Daily Bulletin submission policies listed below

The Daily Bulletin is an electronic compilation of campus news and announcements produced by the communications department throughout the week when classes are in session. A shortcut to the DB now is available on all faculty, staff and student laptops. All submissions should be emailed directly to Jeremy Church at churchj@culver.org or via the “Submit Item” icon within the DB itself. The administration prefers the Daily Bulletin be emailed out to the community by approximately 9:30 a.m. To meet that goal, the Communications Department needs your cooperation.

All announcements to be included in the next day’s Daily Bulletin must be submitted by no later than 4:00 p.m. (Fridays at 4:00 p.m. will be the deadline for Monday editions.) Reasonable exceptions will be made depending on the importance and timeliness of the submitted item. If the 4:00 p.m. deadline passes, then the item will run the day after next. In addition:

  1. We only run Daily Bulletin items two days in a row. Otherwise, we risk losing the attention spans of the readers. If an event is far enough out, you can submit the item once, skip a day, and then resubmit it for two more days.

  2. We feature a lost and found section in which items are kept for months at a time.

  3. Feel free to send photos with names of all those pictured. Based on quality, space, and time restraints, we’ll get them in as soon as possible.

  4. No student, faculty, or staff member is permitted to send out blast emails – defined as emails that go out to the entire campus population. Any items that are appropriate for both students and adults to read will be included in the Daily Bulletin. Exceptions obviously will be made in the case of emergencies or athletic department cancellations.

New parent link to mirror Parent Planner info

A new parent link on the left-hand side of the Daily Bulletin will soon include items mirroring those contained in the Culver Parent Planner, as well as any other additional parent announcements. Both the page and link are in their initial stages and we welcome any parent feedback. Please send suggestions to the Communications Department via Mary Kunkle at kunklem@culver.org.
