Student Life

Students interested in graduating with Honors in Spanish should see Mr. Garzón this week in Gignilliat Hall, Room 103.

The Daily Bulletin is an electronic compilation of campus news and announcements produced by the communications department throughout the week when classes are in session. A shortcut to the DB now is available on all faculty, staff and student laptops. All submissions should be emailed directly to Jeremy Church at churchj@culver.org or via the “Submit Item” icon within the DB itself. The administration prefers the Daily Bulletin be emailed out to the community by approximately 9:30 a.m. To meet that goal, the Communications Department needs your cooperation. All announcements to be included in the next day’s Daily Bulletin must be submitted by no later than 4:00 p.m. (Fridays at 4:00 p.m. will be the deadline for Monday editions.) Reasonable exceptions will be made depending on the importance and timeliness of the submitted item. If the 4:00 p.m. deadline passes, then the item will run the day after next.

A new parent link on the left-hand side of the Daily Bulletin will soon include items mirroring those contained in the Culver Parent Planner, as well as any other additional parent announcements. Both the page and link are in their initial stages and we welcome any parent feedback. Please send suggestions to the Communications Department via Mary Kunkle at kunklem@culver.org.

The Buxtons will host a pair of new student open houses this weekend. From 7:30 to 10 p.m. tonight, Aug. 24, the open house will be for Company A, Company B, Company C, Troop A, Troop B, Atrium, Linden, Benson, and Tower.
From 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. tomorrow, Aug. 25, the open house will be for Battery A, Battery B, Battery C, Band, Court, Ciel and Ithaka.

The Communications Department is seeking students who are interested in photography, publishing, news casting, or video taping and editing. We are looking to capture Culver moments from a student’s perspective. Candidates should be creative, energetic, and skilled at communicating with students, staff, and faculty. Contact Ms.  Kunkle at 8262 to set up an appointment.
