Kyler Scott to kick for Indiana University

CMA senior Kyler Scott has committed to play football at Indiana University. He set CMA season (10) and career (20) field goal records. Among his honors, Scott was a first-team all-state selection at class 3A this past season and a member of the coaches all-state team as a junior.

Former deputy commandant takes new post

Former Deputy Commandant Tom Siebenthal has been appointed commander of the Wounded Warrior Battalion East at Camp LeJeune, N.C. He had previously retired from the U.S. Marine Corps as a lieutenant colonel in June before taking on the new assignment.

School Year Abroad offering new India program

School Year Abroad has just announced that it is offering a one semester program in India beginning next August.  Any member of the class of 2010 who is interested should see Mr. Haase in B 207 before Friday, Jan. 11, to obtain information and an application.  There is no language prerequisite for this program.

Student Life

Cordon will meet for a meal, Christian fellowship and a devotional on Sunday, Jan. 13. Gather at 5 p.m. at Logansport Gate for a ride. Please contact Mrs. Siefert (brynkim@yahoo.com) if you would like more information about Cordon.

The 1st Source Bank rep will be available on campus on Thursdays only.  She will still be in the game room from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 pm.

An all-school meeting will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow , Jan. 9, in Eppley Auditorium, followed at 2:30 p.m. by mentee/mentor time.

ISTEP results are back.  Students should please check their campus mail boxes for the reports.

The Spanish Honorary Society will be offering 20 expense-paid trips to Mexico this year.  If you are junior and have taken Spanish, you are encouraged to participate in the annual Spanish Travel Awards.  Completed applications must be postmarked no later than Feb. 15.   For additional information, please see Mr. Garzón in the Department of Modern & Classical Languages during the next Spanish Club meeting from 3 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, in Gignilliat Hall, room 103.

The CMA freshmen basketball team will travel to Kouts at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26. This is a new opponent.

Alex Banfich is expected to appear in "Sports Illustrated's" Faces in the Crowd section this week. Please look for a copy on newsstands in the next few days.
