Guest percussionist to perform tomorrow

All are welcome to a performance by Popo Arriola, Honduran percussionist, during C block (12 p.m. to 1:20 p.m. ) tomorrow, Jan. 10, in the Band Room of the Music and Arts Building.  Popo represents the Garifuna people, who escaped slavery in the 1600s to form free communities on the Honduran North Coast.  He will be sharing music, dance and stories of the Garifuna people with Ms. DiLorenzo’s Spanish 2 class and Mrs. Lynch-Weirich’s Ragtime to Rap class.  Bring a percussion instrument if you wish. Student Life

You are invited to view “Watercolors,” a student art exhibit in A building’s first floor near room 109.  The show includes works by Beginning Painting students Karlee Bauer, Crystal Cordova, Stephanie Gehring, Zafiro Joseph, Carl Rivera, Camilo Salgado, Willow Smith, Esther Stewart, Cindy Tsai, Christy Haung and Eloise Fulmer.

A shopping trip to Plymouth is from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13. Cost will be $5 for transportation. To sign up, email Mrs. A. Norton with your name, the trip name, your dorm and student ID number before noon tomorrow, Jan. 10.

School Year Abroad has just announced that it is offering a one semester program in India beginning next August.  Any member of the class of 2010 who is interested should see Mr. Haase in B 207 before Friday, Jan. 11, to obtain information and an application.  There is no language prerequisite for this program.

Cordon will meet for a meal, Christian fellowship and a devotional on Sunday, Jan. 13. Gather at 5 p.m. at Logansport Gate for a ride. Please contact Mrs. Siefert (brynkim@yahoo.com) if you would like more information about Cordon.

The 1st Source Bank rep will be available on campus on Thursdays only.  She will still be in the game room from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 pm.
