Student Life Bible Study will meet at 6:30 p.m. tonight, Jan. 30, above the post office in the Health Issues classroom to study chapter 6 in the Gospel of John. Come and bring a friend. Box lunches provided. The tickets for “Jersey Boys” were gobbled up within hours. Join us next time. CMA and CGA crew are in their second week of practice and are almost at capacity in numbers. If you have not joined the team or submitted a uniform sizing sheet, this week is your last chance. This includes past team members. Practices are at 4 p.m. on the indoor track. The math forum is sponsoring its fourth competition of the year with the 4-by-4 competition at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow, Jan. 31, in Roberts Auditorium. This is a single test consisting of ten rounds of four problems, with each round to be taken in three minutes by a team of four students. Rounds will contain both easy and difficult questions and cover a variety of topics. We will be having pizza before the contest to fuel our minds at 5:30 and begin the contest at 6:15. Interested students and faculty are invited to three percussion workshops from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Feb. 2, 9, and 16, in the Music and Art building. Honduran Garífuna drummer Popo Arriola will focus on various drumming rhythms, including punta, samba, conga and guaguancó. As an added benefit, it’s a great upper body workout. A weekly Protestant liturgical communion service is offered at 12 p.m. each Thursday in the dining hall mezzanine area. The service will last no longer than 20 minutes. Athletics CGA girls basketball hosts Pioneer at 6 p.m. tomorrow, Jan. 31, in the final regular-season game of the year. A victory for the varsity Eagles would give them 12 this year – the most since 1999. Bremen 126, CMA swimming and diving 116, Plymouth 88 All girls interested in playing softball this spring should attend a mandatory meeting at 3 p.m. today, Jan. 30, in health classroom 105 in the rec. building.
