Faculty/ Staff As the annual “Shred Day” opportunity draws near, we have been asked by several people if personal documents can be bundled along with our confidential, school-related documents to be shred. Unfortunately, we must reject that option. Due to the HIPPA regulations by which we are bound, we cannot put Culver Academies in a position of risk from the standpoint of identity theft or other mismanagement or misappropriation of personal records. However, I was able to get this concession from Mike Good, the director at the Problem Waste Center who is making this opportunity available to municipalities, governmental agencies, schools, and not-for-profits. He said that if you have roughly a paper-box size quantity of material to be shred, and you call him at 1-800-935-8618 by Nov. 9 to schedule those materials to be shred at his facility (1900 Walter Glaub Drive in Plymouth), he will not likely turn you away, and you’ll only be out the inconvenience of taking it up to Plymouth. If you have any questions or concerns about shred material, please call me at 8223, or email kowalsj@culver.org. Faculty and Staff Association movie night is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. tonight, Oct. 16, at the Uptown Cinema. “The Brave One,” starring Jodie Foster, will show. Click here for more information on the movie. Faculty/Staff Association members only. Tennis Shoe Tuesday: Walk 20-minutes with us. You’ll feel invigorated after walking that mile. Meet once again at 12:15 p.m. today, Oct. 16, at Sallyport Gate. Email Dr. Coyle with questions: coylem@culver.org.
Athletics CGA won its final varsity volleyball match of the regular season by defeating visiting John Glenn 26-24, 25-19, 25-15 last weekend.
