Today is the final Daily Bulletin of school year

This is the final Daily Bulletin of the school year. Urgent faculty/staff-related messages starting today can be emailed to and distributed via Administrative Services. Thank you for your assistance in producing the DB again during 2008-09. On a personal note, I would like to thank everyone for their help distributing it the last six years. I'll be taking a position outside of Culver beginning next week, so a new person in the Communications Department will publish the Daily Bulletin next year. Best wishes, good luck, and congratulations to the class of 2008.

Stop! Don’t sell those books or throw them away. Consider donating your textbooks to the Academic Skills Center, rooms A208-209, where they’ll be appreciated.

Student Life

New photos now available in the MyCapture online photo gallery include: Boys lacrosse team and championship photos, spring athletic banquet, Indy 500 Parade photos (in Special Events), and Gold Star Ceremony (in Special Events).

The laptop turn-in will be from 9 a.m. to 4:30 pm tomorrow, May 29. Time to start backing up your data. Tech Services will be re-imaging all student laptops, so any data left on them will be lost forever if you haven't backed it up to CD, DVD, memory stick, or external drive. For more information on the turn-in times and what you need to do, please check the information here. Please note that internet access for students will be turned off at 3:00 p.m. that day.

It’s a tale of a whale and a whale of a tale! Moby Dick! The Musical, the 2008 Spring Musical is playing yet again at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow, May 29, and Friday, May 30, in Eppley Auditorium. See Dr. Davies take his final bow at Culver as both the Headmistress and Ahab. Watch as the girls of St. Godley’s Academy for Young Ladies save the day by mounting the story of the Great White Whale. If Melville is spinning in his grave watching this show it’s because he’s laughing so hard. It’s great fun, great music, and great special F/X.  Rated PG for the big scary whale at the end.

The Global Studies Institute is pleased to announce the Global Scholars for 2008-09: Shadi Bakour, Ashley Eberhart, Alexis Howard, HyoungKeun Kwon, Robin Tripp, Kelsey Wang, and Yichan Wang. Chosen from a talented pool of applicants, they speak six different languages and have exhibited global awareness, leadership, and commitment to global study and service.
