of a Culver Mission Trip Team, will be traveling to Bulgaria for Spring
Break in less than two weeks. While
there, we will be working with various programs established by the
Bulgarian Red Cross. We also
hop to share some of our belongings with the people of the mountain
villages surrounding Sofia (the nation’s capital); therefore, we are
requesting your assistance.
Thursday,
March 6, through Monday, March 10, we will hold a collection of the
following items (Please ensure all items are in good condition):
· Classical books in the English language
(ie. Penguin edition
paperbacks)
· Textbooks in good condition
· Clothing (non-Culver)
· Shoes
· Toys
· Teaching materials (pens, notebooks, rulers, erasers,
pencils, etc.)
· Art supplies (drawing pads, colors, brushes, etc.)
· Children’s books with pictures
· Video and audio cassettes
Faculty
and Staff may drop off their items in a box outside Mrs. Hunter’s office
next to the Bookstore, or in a box in the Dining Hall during the Thursday,
Friday, and Monday lunch periods.
Students
may donate within their dorms and barracks.
The Class of 2005 Unit/Dorm Reps will circulate their respective
living units to aid the collection on Thursday, Friday, and Monday.
