I WRITE TO WISH YOU ALL A RESTFUL AND THOUGHTFUL WEEKEND.
Some of you will be traveling, others staying on campus.
And many of you will be observing Triduum Sacrum (The Sacred
Three Days) that conclude Holy Week, or
you will be noticing them from afar.
Regardless, I wish you all safety, rest, and peace.
On behalf of Rev. Klatt, Fr. Kohrman, Fr. Jackson, and Mr. Nowalk,
I want to thank you for supporting our Lenten programs and for keeping
vigil for our soldiers and all who live in the region of Iraq. The formal vigils and Morning Prayer will not continue
during the remaining days of April and May.
For those of you observing Lent, may the remaining and most intense
days of Holy Week be all they are meant to be. As I said at Morning Prayer
this morning, “To enter the darkness of Calvary is to encounter the God
who is there, even there! So,
let us enter it and remain there, if we dare, until the Easter
celebration.”

restriction enzymes). Among
those profiled are actor Richard Burton, crime novelist Jim Thompson,
tennis player Bobby Riggs, and naval officer Elmo R. Zumwalt. The update
also includes articles on William Morton Fullerton, journalist who was
Edith Wharton's secret lover, and Horace L. Hunley, Confederate patriot
