1.   THE CAMPUS OPEN HOUSE IS SUNDAY. The Admissions Office will be hosting more than 50 families who are considering Culver for their children. They will be all over campus and we ask you to be courteous and helpful to our visitors. Thank you in advance for your support.

 

 

2.   THE NEXT TWO SUNDAYS GUESTS WILL SPEAK IN CHAPEL SERVICES held at 10:30 a.m. in the Memorial Chapel: January 18 - Mr. Jay Truesdale, History Instructor and Assistant Dean of the Chapel;  January 25 - Mr. Andy Dorrel, History Instructor and Head Football Coach.  Reverend Steffen and Mr. Wendell Scott, a member of the facilities department, will be in Haiti serving on a short-term mission project organized by Grace Ministries.

 

 

3.   NOVA NEXT WEEK HAS SECRETS OF THE CROCODILE CAVES,” as scientists travel to Madagascar to explore the wildlife living within the Ankarana reserve, including crowned lemurs, cave-dwelling crocodiles, and the puma-like fossa. 4.   SHARC TO RECOGNIZE SAFE EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH. SHARC (Safety Hazard Awareness Reporting Committee) is kicking off a “Safe Employee of the Month” recognition program this month. Any member of the campus community may submit the name of any employee from any department for consideration.  Nominations may be submitted via the SHARC boxes throughout campus, in writing to any SHARC team member, or via the SHARC hotline at 7070*9000. 5.   TRIP LISTS:  Tomorrow, Jan. 16, the all-state choir students will depart campus at 5:00 a.m. for competition at the Indianapolis Convention Center. Also tomorrow, as part of its own class time, the Health Issues class will depart campus at 9:40 a.m. for a trip to the Culver Coffee Company.  Both the JV and varsity boys basketball teams will depart campus tomorrow at 4:00 p.m. for competition at Penn High School.  

 

 

6.   BI-COUNTY BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION is available at this link, in case anyone missed the announcement yesterday.

 

 

7.   A FAREWELL PARTY FOR MS. PEGGY THOMPSON will be held today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the health center. She will be retiring after 32 years of dedicated service in the health center kitchen. Please stop by for cake and give thanks and best wishes to Peggy!
