John W. Henderson Ice Arenas

From humble beginnings on an outdoor rink in 1976, to the national-level competition its teams face on NHL and Olympic- sized arenas today, Culver Military Academy hockey has always expected excellence from its athletes both on and off the ice.

The program's consistency is demonstrated in the records and accomplishments of its teams, which have produced 20 state championships in the last 30 years, 148 college players at more than 70 different schools - including 70 at the Division I level - and 22 NHL draft picks as of fall 2007. Seven former players have competed or are competing in the NHL.

Through more than three decades of competition, the Varsity A team has won 70 percent of its games.
